30 May We made some interesting choices… 221 Jacksonia Street

Instead of getting married after two or three years of courting like normal people, Jake and I decided to jump straight into one of the things that could potentially strain a healthy manage before even having one: renovating a ~200 year old house on the North Side.

Purchased by my mom in 2009, Jake and I slowly but surely began the gargantuan, horrific task of fixing the place up. ┬áIt wasn’t fun. For three years we worked on this place in all of our free time. We had lovely arguments and all manner of backbreaking work. Honestly, we’re still working on it. We’ll probably never stop working on it. It’s really cool now, though.
